New Year’s Eve

World Peace Sand Mandala Opening Ceremony:

Wednesday, December 31st, Noonsacred arts tour mandala

End 2014 well and begin 2015 auspiciously as part of this five day prayer for non-violence in the United States and around the world. Join interfaith and community leaders for the opening ceremony from Noon to 1:00pm at DGCEC. Then follow the construction over the next days:

Wednesday, 12/31: 1 – 6pm

Thursday, 1/1/2015: 2 – 6pm

Friday, 1/2/: 10am – 5pm

Saturday, 1/3: Noon to 3pm

Sunday, 1/4: 2 – 5pm with the Dissolution Ceremony at 4:30pm

 

Special Meditation Vigil for the New Year:

Wednesday, December 31st, 7-8:00pm                 

Join us in “seeing the old year out” with chanting, meditation, simple refreshments

World Day of Prayer for Peace Service

You are invited to join Drepung Gomang monks and other interfaith leaders for this reflective prayer at St. William, 1226 W. Oak Street, 40210.

 

Saturday, January 3rd

Special GREEN TARA PRAYER AND HEALING CEREMONY green-tara-

Please join us for a very special Green Tara Puja this Saturday, Jan 3rd from 10am to Noon, followed by a potluck lunch.

All who are ill or want to offer prayers for a loved-one who is ill are encouraged to bring an offering donation of flowers/fruit for the altar, potluck food to share for lunch, and a financial donation ($5 to $10 suggested).
