IPP Executive Director Terry Taylor said, “Our friends at the Drepung Gomang Institute have reached out with spiritual peacemaking in every direction—to people of all religions, and to those who practice no religion. Over the last few years their efforts have included hosting an interfaith Passover Seder that drew people from all of the major religions; peace marches and vigils aimed at bringing peace to the streets of Louisville; and the creation of a beautiful “sand mandala” which was offered as a visual prayer for peace in Iraq, Syria, the Ukraine and Israel and Gaza. Perhaps most significant, however, was DGI’s effort (involving the entire Louisville community) in bring the Dalai Lama to the city in May of 2013.”

Interfaith Paths to Peace is a Louisville-based organization that works to make the city, the nation and the world more peaceful by offering scores of programs each year aimed at increasing interfaith understanding. In fact, IPP offers more day-to-day interfaith events and activities than any other group in the Louisville area, and perhaps the entire nation.  www.paths2peace.org
