24-HOUR VIGIL FOR NONVIOLENCE: Wed, Sept 26, 7pm to Thur, Sept 27, 7pm

Join us in prayer or meditation as we together affirm the choice to live and respond to life’s challenges with nonviolence in our hearts, words and actions. Individuals and organizations are “hosting” each hour of the vigil, shaping the hour with prayers, readings, meditations and/or silence.  Stop by the Vigil any time that is convenient for you. Special prayers for the final hour, 6pm Thursday.  This vigil is part of TWELVE DAYS TOWARD PEACE which began Sept 21, International Day of Peace and concludes October 2, International Day of Nonviolence. Join us for various opportunities to learn about the practice of practical nonviolence! Read Daily Peacemakers to Light the Path, reflections posted daily on Facebook, make a personal commitment to choose a Daily Meditation for Peace, and also join us for International Day of Nonviolence:  Tuesday, Oct 2, 6:30pm, for a dialogue about nonviolence among Faith Leaders.  More info, Facebook, TwelveDaysTowardPeace
