Seven years ago His Holiness the Dalai Lama visited Louisville for Engaging Compassion 2013, hosted by Drepung Gomang Center for Engaging Compassion. More than 18,000 people participated over three days.  His Holiness’ compelling wisdom expanded the foundation for active compassion across our city.

 

Engaging Compassion in These Times celebrates our efforts and invites us to keep building open hearts.  Thupten Jinpa, His Holiness’ principal English translator for 35 years, and Mayor Greg Fischer will reflect on practical  compassion during the pandemic, and Louisville Heroes will inspire us with compelling stories about their courageous efforts.
