Life in the world today is fast-paced, stressful, and increasingly complex.  This takes its toll on one’s health, well-being, and overall sense of satisfaction with life.

 

In this 6-week class, you will be introduced to a modernized approach to reducing stress and awakening your highest self, using simple, practical, and powerful practices.

 

This class is perfectly suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike.

Pete is a native of Louisville, Kentucky where he has been in medical practice as an Orthopedic Surgeon since 2005. For two years he owned and operated Wellness 360, a center dedicated to wellness of body, mind, and spirit using holistic health practices such as yoga, massage, meditation, and health coaching.

 

In April 2015, he began teaching meditation and mind training at Drepung Gomang Center for Engaging Compassion as part of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s vision for a program in secular ethics. Through his ongoing community and research efforts, he hopes to improve access to quality meditation instruction, and to promote novel and effective web-based applications that promote positive personal and global transformation.

Dr. Pete’s Meditation Class Format

“This class is highly experiential, as it is my belief that experience is by far the best teacher. It will include foundational didactic teaching followed by a meditation practice that allows the student to experience the concept(s) being taught. Discussion about the practice follows so that appropriate integration of the material in the students’ lives can occur. The student will learn excellent beginning steps to confidently establish a meaningful personal home practice.”
