You are invited to be part of unfolding this intention for peace in the careful placement of millions of grains of sand by Tibetan Buddhist monks from India as they create a beautiful visual prayer for nonviolence in the Louisville community and in our world.
Opening ceremony: Tuesday, July 21, 4:30pm Construction will continue each day:
Wed, July 22, 9am – 6pm
Thurs, July 23, 9am – 6pm
Fri, July 24, 9am to 3pm
Available for viewing after completion:
Friday, July 24 to Sunday July 26 during Tibetan Cultural Days Events
Dissolution Ceremony Sunday, July 26th as part of an Interfaith Prayer for Nonviolence at 3:30pm
Donations and the sale of Tibetan merchandise help provide food, medical attention, education and housing for 2,000 refugee Tibetan monks of Drepung Gomang Monastery in India.
Donations may be made on our website or checks written to “DGI Workshop”.
